Environmental Analysis Laboratory
The Environmental Analysis Laboratory specializes in environmental analytical chemistry. The laboratory offers research support through sample analysis, instrument training, method development, and class tours and instruction. Services are available to all NAU faculty, staff, graduate, and undergraduate students. The laboratory is also available to analyze sample submissions from researchers at other institutions. The facility has instrumentation to process a variety of different analytes including base anions; base cations; trace metals; alkalinity; total dissolved solids; monosaccharides, disaccharides, and small oligosaccharides in honeydew and water samples; monoterpenes in tree resin; kjeldhal digests; microwave digests; soil extractions; and pH levels.
